It’s finally upon us! The time has come where we are covering Park’s seminal film that brought him international attention, Oldboy. What hasn’t been said about this movie that edge-lordy punks like our teenage and college selves haven’t already raved about. It’s a rough movie. It’s a complicated movie. It’s got some Wes Andersony twee. It’s got one of the most memorable fight scenes in a movie to date. It’s all over the map, folks. Join the fellas Terry, Paco and Jason as they explore the Park stylization, his love of dumpling montages and his love of leaving his audience both in awe and in shock. Again, no sympathy for the audience here.

Park Chan-Wook spares no sympathy for the audience in this one, folks. In Park’s seminal introduction to his revenge trilogy, we get the Park array of master storytelling, editing, cinematography and, ultimately, his foray into the futility and irony of revenge cinema. Another tissue box film for the books, y’all. Get that sh*t ready, because the fellas are about to grind their way into one of Park’s most influential pieces of filmic literature to date. Is it a rewatch movie? Or is it like Kubrick's film adaptation of, A Clockwork Orange, where ya might need about a decade and a half to revisit regardless of how good it is or isn’t? We’re not sure how we feel yet. Anyway,

Our two daddies are fighting again, and Jason is the kid at Applebees asking for a refill. Paco and Terry clearly watch different movies sometimes and it’s kind of funny…and scary……like Michael Gambon as a hillbilly cannibal. Anyway, join the Wasteland Wanderers Jason, Terry and Paco as they make their way west to find some semblance of the OG Hughes Brothers’ in this movie. I mean, they still got it. Hollywood just poops the bed……But not Denzel Washington, he’s an American treasure. The Turd Polisher some call him. The brown sugar in our oatmeal. The Satin Prince……that last one was just for fun. I have no idea what that means.

The time has come, folks! The second annual Vulgars is upon us!

Right off the top: we recorded this episode just days before the Oscars, so for the first of potentially a three part episode we’re covering our movie and TV discoveries in 2021 (2021 related or not), but we do touch upon a couple Oscar contenders, which it might make you laugh now to hear us talk about.
