In this final message in the COMMUNITY and VULNERABILITY series, we are looking at how shame is the thing that takes us out from vulnerability and connection. God wants us to be powerful by choosing to be seen and known. Our greatest enemy is the voice of accusation and shame that will take you to a place where you are isolated and alone - even tempted to judge others and hide. Instead, Christian maturity is being able to grow in love by living in the tension of possible rejection, disagreement and even persecution. You have Christ in you, so move towards Him and be clothed in His protective armor of light and of humility. Clothe yourself in meekness and gentleness and live with your heart wide open. He is showing us this lavish love is even for our enemies! Don’t fear – instead, live with the risk and courage of Heaven to be a vulnerable and generous hearted believer who breaks the power of shame by being seen and known. Vulnerability is the key to this kind of love and humility!
