Always with the intent to “leave the floor astonished”, his DJ style focuses on taking the audience to a state they have never experienced before. As the founder of rural, the open air event which takes place in summer, he has consistently provided new musical experiences for the people. The concept of rural is something he keeps in mind when he performs. In recent years, after some time away, Atsushi resumed his active role as a DJ, captivating crowds at festivals and clubs across Asia, including Organik Festival in Taipei, Karma Kastle, Wonderfruit in Thailand, as well as Basement in New York, Bassiani in Tbilisi, Ankali in Prague, and other prominent clubs throughout the Americas and Europe.
In 2024, as rural, he embarked on a tour across Europe and the Americas showcasing the kind of techno that rural stands for. At Basement in New York, his uncompromising set led the audience into uncharted sonic territory. In Colombia, he delivered relentless performances at packed dance floors for a collaboration party with the Move Medellin collective and El Rio, both of which are gaining significant attention in the contemporary techno scene.
At Wonderfruit, as the curator for the 428 Stage f.k.a. Catch 428, he gathered influential figures from various Asian countries. While techno remained a focal point, he presented variations of the main concept over the four-day festival. Additionally, he demonstrated his expertise by evolving the festival's underground aspect in terms of production, including the sound team with whom they had shared years of experiences at rural open air, which garnered positive feedback.
