Wading through a Global Pandemic

Listen Later

Let's take a glimpse into working within and creating a safe environment for our colleagues, our patients and their families.  Imaging is essential in the initial diagnosis and monitoring of many disease processes. In January 2020, the World Health Organisation declared the novel coronavirus met the criteria for a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. With imaging at the forefront of diagnosis, measure of severity and monitoring of disease, radiographers are healthcare professionals who are exposed to the front line.

During this episode, we talk to Orla, a trained MRI specialist, who talks to us from her flat in London as the UK heads into round two of lockdown during a global pandemic.
