A lot of female Ghanaian celebrities have suffered physical abuse from their partners and many continued to stay with them and one has stepped out to give a reason why. According to Ms Forson, she loves her man more every time she beats her up. She claims that the way the boyfriend treats her after beating her makes her even love her more. She implied that at times she looks forward to the beatings because she knows what will happen afterwards. The musician who was signed to Ruff Town Records owned by Bullet of Ruff n Smooth fame admitted that she does understand physical abuse is wrong and what she is saying is not for everybody but for her it works and has made her relationship stronger.

Becca, Yvonne Nelson, Shatta Mitch, Juliet Ibrahim and several others have all talked about the abuse they suffered during their relationships with Nigerian actress Tonto Dikeh showing pictures of the scars of the beatings she suffered at the hands of her ex husband.

Ghanaian actress and TV presenter Nikki Samonas in a recent interview said her mother did not give birth for her to date poor guys. The presenter who was talking to Abeiku Santana on his show ATUU which is aired on UTV went further to question the presenter "would you be happy if your sister dated a poor guy?" A lot of Ghanaians have started making noise about her statements with some claiming that is exactly the reason why she is still unmarried in her 30s.

Plastic surgery especially bum surgeries are on the rise in Ghana, Nigeria and the African continent as a whole. A lot of you young women are going under the surgical knife to enhance their looks. One woman popular for this is Ghanaian socialite Moesha Buduong, wh is noted to have enhanced her backside. Moesha Buduong bum and hips have made her very popular leading to an interview with CNN.

A 27 year old Nigerian lawyer recently lost her life when she decided to use surgery as a form of weight loss. The woman known as Barrister Enobong is said to have wanted the fat taken from her belly to be pumped into her bum to give her a bum lift. The surgeon is believed to have been a quack and it was reported that is what lead to her death. Dr Obengfo of Ghana is reported to be the number one surgeon in the country when it comes to bum lifts and implants. The surgeon is responsible for the recent rise in many "fake" bums and hips in the country.

A viral video of a Ghanaian university student beating the boyfriend with her slippers aka chalewote for cheating on her has got a lot of people. The video shows the boy sitting with a girl while the girlfriend continuously slapped him with the slippers while demanding an explanation for cheating. The girl later apologised on video for her actions but many people are questioning her actions and that of the boy. Ghanaian actress Lydia Forson was asked about her opinion but she rather resorted to insulting the person Ayibe Borla Bird for even asking the question.

The BBC in conjunction with Private Eye released a documentary about sex for grades in two of the most prestigious universities in West Africa namely University of Ghana (UG), Legon in Ghana and University of Lagos  (UNILAG) in Nigeria.  The claim Universities in Nigeria and Ghana have been plagued by stories of sexual  harassment by lecturers and professors for decades. Allegations include  a wide array of abuses, from blackmailing students for sex in exchange  for marks and admission to lewd comments and grooming.

The documentary used undercover reports to show lecturers propositioning potential students for sex. Dr Boniface of UNILAG and Prof Gyampo of UG were the key culprits caught on camera. Prof Gyampo denies the allegation and claims that he will sue the BBC while Dr Boniface who is also a pastor is said to have attempted suicide following the release of the documentary.

A leaked document of the new curriculum to be thought to Kids as young as 6 years old in Ghana was leaked into the public and the outrage that followed has engulfed the whole country. The document called Comprehensive Sexual Education is reported to be part of a move by the ministry of education to teach students about different sexual identities and homosexual behaviours. Many religious groups and their leaders came out to speak against it with one leader referring to the document as Comprehensive Satanic Education. The chief Iman also spoke against the introduction of this into the national curriculum.

The Education Minister of  Ghana has come out to deny the document and has assured parents that no such document or curriculum is parts of the plans of the ministry. The president Nana Akuffo Addo has also given a speech about it.

Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale claims that since the break up of his relationship with long term girlfriend Shatta Michy, he has been prevented from seeing his son Majesty. Shatta Wale in an interview on HitzFM said his former fiancée took their son to the second capital of Ghana Kumasi and is preventing him from seeing his son. He said the last time he saw his son was in 2018. This is baffling as this is a man who has shown in many of his actions that he is willing to do whatever to get his way. He has threaten the entire country before therefore it is surprising that he will let anything prevent him from being his kids life. Nigerian Afrobeat artist Davido proposed to his girlfriend Chioma recently and a lot of people have taken to social media to celebrate their relationship. A video release of the proposal shows Chioma heavily pregnant and this has got the Wahaala Boys to think, why would Davido propose now? Ghanaian actor John Dumelo did get married and in less than 9 months the wife had a baby which confirmed he might have got married to hide the pregnancy. Afrobeat artist Becca from Ghana also had a baby shortly after getting married again supposedly to hide having a kid outside wedlock.

A lot of African parents frown on having kids outside wedlock and even though Davido has two kids outside wedlock, it is possible that Chioma's parents wouldn't allow their daughter to be baby mama number 3.
