Wait, You Haven't Seen...?

This week, Travis is joined by Josh Munro, a long time friend of the show, to talk about 2018's Annihilation. Written for the screen and directed by Alex Garland, based on the novel of the same name, it's a strange movie to say the least. But does it have a message in it worth digging for? Or is it just a pretentious art piece, weird for the sake of weird? Let's find out...

Cage-A-Palooza 2023 Comes to a close this week, and Travis is joined by Alex Albisu to talk about his first time watching the 1996 action classic The Rock. Directed by Michael Bay, and starring Sean Connery alongside Nicolas Cage, this movie is a non-stop thrill ride. So, did Alex like it? Was it too long for an action movie? Does it stand the test of time, or should it be left in the 90s? Let's find out...

Week 4 of Cage-A-Palooza 2023 brings us to the world of Marvel, with 2011's Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. Steve of Botched had never seen it before, but we fixed that. The question is, with a cast of Nicolas Cage, Idris Elba (sporting his Heimdall contact lenses), Cirian Hinds, and directed by the duo that brought us both of the Crank films, is this one worth watching? Let's find out...

It's Week 3 of Cage-A-Palooza 2023, and we have a fun one in store for you. JF Dubeau, the Writer of Wrongs is here to talk about Nic Cage as Dracula. Also, Nicolas Hoult as a bug eating Renfield, Awkwafina as a New Orleans cop, and more CG blood splattering than a Mortal Kombat tournament. Is Nic Cage as the Count as much as it sounds? Can Renfield as a character carry the movie? Did that character really snort a millipede? Let's find out...

Cage-A-Palooza 2023 rolls on with week 2, and Bill aka RunJumpStomp from the Nerd Nest is back on the show. Neither he or Travis has seen 2020's Jiu Jitsu, which stars Nicolas Cage and features Tony Jaa and Juju Chan. An alien warrior visits earth every six years to battle humans because reasons, and a small team of fighters must defeat him. But one has lost his memory, and also the Army is involved. In Burma. Does it make any sense at all? Is it as bad as it's reputation online says? Let's find out...

It's here! Cage-A-Palooza 2023 begins this week with Melanie of Made You Watch, A Podcast. We're kicking off this year's celebration of all things Nicolas Cage with the 1997 classic, Face/Off. Mel's never seen it before. So will she love the slice of 90s action from director John Woo? Or will it be too much cheese? Let's find out...

This week, Travis is joined by Katra to talk about the 1991 Disney action/adventure flick, The Rocketeer. Based on the 1982 comic, but set in the 1930s, it's a tale of jet packs, the mob, pilots, and Nazis. But does it hold up 32 years later as a fun and family friendly action movie? Or is it just too simple and dated for today's audiences? Let's find out...

This week, Travis is joined by Phil Keating of the Botched podcast, and Amy Frost of Achewillow to talk about Wes Anderson's The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. They both love this film, but how will it be for a first time viewer? It's only the second Wes Anderson film Travis has ever seen. Will he like the quirkiness? Or is it going to be too much for him? Let's find out...

This week, we are going back to 1957, and discussing the film 12 Angry Men with Kurt Boutin. Travis hasn't seen it before, so can a movie about 12 men in a single room be any good? Is it the drama classic everyone makes it out to be? Or just a boring mid century slog of 12 people talking? Let's find out...

This week, friend of the show Searanex is back. He's been on to talk about John Wick Chapters 2 and 3, and it was time he and Travis watched Chapter 4. So, how does it stack up to the rest of the series. It's a long one at nearly 3 hours, can a movie sustain the action and intensity for that long? Or will it sputter to the finish line? Let's find out...
