Wait, You Haven't Seen...?

This week, Shawn "Searanex" White is back and he got Travis to watch John Wick: Chapter 2 for the first time. John Wick redefined action movies in 2014, so is this just more of the same? Or does it really break some new ground? What does Travis think about it? Let's find out... Thanks go out to Audie Norman (@TheAudieNorman) for the album art. We close out Cage-A-Palooza 2022 with another in the "instant classic" category, Pig. It's a movie about a man, who loses his pig, and wants it back. Is it really "John Wick with a Pig" or something else? Well, neither Travis nor guest David Luzader had seen it before, so let's find out what they think. Cage-A-Palooza 2022 rolls on. This week, Travis is joined by the world's Okayest DM, Dennis Robinson. They are watching the brand new movie with Nicolas Cage as Nick Cage, retiring from acting and taking one last gig for 1 million dollars to go to a super fan's birthday party in Spain. But things are not all they seem to be. It's Meta, it's absurd, and well, you just need to hear what they think about it. And check out the kickstarter for Dennis' new comic over at Lycanbook.com Thanks go out to Audie Norman (@TheAudieNorman) for the album art. Outro music "In Pursuit" provided by Purple-Planet.net

We're already halfway through 2022's Cage-A-Palooza. This week, Kit London is back, and she brought the 1998 romantic fantasy City of Angels, where Nicolas Cage plays an Angel named Seth, who falls in love with a heart surgeon, played by Meg Ryan. With a soundtrack that will take you right back to the late 90s. It's a little different Cage film, but it still manages to be interesting. You also get to see a naked Dennis Franz, AND Nic Cage, how fun is that? Thanks go out to Audie Norman (@OddlyNormalOne) for the album art. Outro music "In Pursuit" provided by Purple-Planet.net

It's week two of Cage-A-Palooza 2022, and boy did Travis and Phil Rood watch an interesting one. Directed by Werner Herzog, is it a sequel to the 1992 Harvey Keitel movie? A spiritual successor? Or did some producer just decide they wanted that title because it was a movie about a corrupt cop. Either way, it was something. Thanks go out to Audie Norman (@OddlyNormalOne) for the album art. It's time for the 4th annual Cage-A-Palooza! That's right, it's our yearly celebration of Nicolas Cage and his movies. This week, Jason Peters from Esoterica Cinema podcast joins Travis to talk about Moonstruck, starring Cher and Nicolas Cage. This movie won 3 Oscars, but did it deserve them? Find out... This week, The Jen returns to the show to talk about the 2001 animated feature Shrek. Somehow, she managed to make it over 20 years and not see this one, which itself is quite the accomplishment. Listen in and find out how that happened, and how fairy tales are depicted in this one! Thanks go out to Audie Norman (@OddlyNormalOne) for the album art. This week, Travis is joined by Tripp Rogers to talk about the 2009 James Cameron film, Avatar. Starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, and Sigourney Weaver. The discussion touched on plots vs characters, visual spectacle, and sequels. And just how memorable this movie actually is Thanks go out to Audie Norman (@OddlyNormalOne) for the album art. This week, Travis is joined by Adam and Melanie from Made You Watch...a Podcast to talk about the 80s teen flick, Pretty in Pink. Written by John Hughes, and directed by Howard Deutch, how does this one hold up? Neither Adam or Melanie had seen it before, and apparently Travis confuses it with Sixteen Candles Thanks go out to Audie Norman (@OddlyNormalOne) for the album art. This week, Emily from FBOL is back, to talk about the Muppets. She's a Muppet fan, but had never seen the first Muppet movie. Well, we fixed that! And there is so much to like about this movie. From the performances, to the songs, to the jokes, it's just a joy to watch! Thanks go out to Audie Norman (@OddlyNormalOne) for the album art. Outro music "In Pursuit" provided by Purple-Planet.net
