Wait, You Haven't Seen...?

Sean (aka @headgamer) from The Genepool Variety Hour joined Travis this week to talk about the 1998 action thriller Ronin, starring Robert De Niro, Jean Reno, and Natasha McElhone, and directed by John Frankenheimer. It's widely considered to have some of the best car chases in film. But how is the rest of it? Find out... Thanks go out to Audie Norman (@OddlyNormalOne) for the album art. This week, David Cadena (aka Roosterbat) is back. He's never seen Dark City, so Travis made him watch it. It's a great sci fi film from the late 90s. Does it hold up. Was it ever good? Is it a better version of "The Matrix"? Thanks go out to Audie Norman (@OddlyNormalOne) for the album art. Outro music "In Pursuit" provided by Purple-Planet.net

David and Nick from Hit Me One More Time join Travis to talk about the 2016 TMNT movie. It's the sequel to the live action reboot produced by Michael Bay, so is it any good? This week, Travis and Bill (@runjumpstomp) watched the 2019 film from Writer/Director Taika Waititi, JoJo Rabbit. It's about a young boy, who's imaginary friend is Adolf Hitler, and he discovers his mother is hiding a young Jewish girl in their house, during World War II. How can this premise have any heart, or even laughs? Listen, and find out. Because spoilers....it has both! Thanks go out to Audie Norman (@OddlyNormalOne) for the album art. We finish up SoWizard April with Markellus of the show as my guest, and we are watching (for him the first time) Event Horizon, the 1997 Sci Fi/Horror film directed by Paul W.S. Anderson. What did he think of it? What was Travis' first impression of the movie when he saw it back in 1997? Is it any good at all? Thanks go out to Audie Norman (@OddlyNormalOne) for the album art.
