Luamanuvao Winnie Laban explore Pakeha and Samoan perspectives about the Treaty of Waitangi, biculturalism and multiculturalism. Professor Sir Paul Callaghan traces the history of the Treaty and considers how Maori business initiatives could provide a model for New Zealand's development in the future. Associate Professor Hon. Luamanuvao Winnie Laban focuses on the experience of Pacific peoples in the country's history, arguing that it is time for Pacific languages to be formally recognised as official languages of New Zealand.
