Ever catch yourself saying:

"I really wanted to exercise and eat right today, but... I just wasn't motivated."

Ugh. That hits close to home, doesn't it? 

Let's break down this whole "waiting on motivation" game:

At some point, we all got sold on the idea that this magical feeling we call "motivation" is what we need to start living the way we say we want to. 

That's why we make promises like "Today I'll start..."

- Prepping meals so that lunch isn't such a guessing game. 

- Fitting in a quick workout before dinner so we don't have to worry about it the rest of the evening

- Taking a moment to breathe and think things through before digging into the chips. 

But then... nothing!

And at the end of the day, we didn't do ANY of those things. 

Why? 

Because we're waiting for motivation to make a grand entrance—but it never did. 

And all that hope we put into motivation to get us moving?

It's the very thing holding us back.
