Wake Before the Day

In this episode we're reminded of Jesus' act of service, washing his disciples' feet, and his encouragement to follow his pattern of living. Love and service aren't acts we do when we feel like it, they are to be a lifestyle for us. Let's dig into John 13.

In episode #117 we are reminded that while Jesus was God he was also very human. He had friends whom he loved. When Lazarus died we got a glimpse of Jesus' humanity, he wept with his friends. This gives us a powerful image of what it looks like to be dead in sin and then alive in Christ! When it comes to joining God in his work we often hesitate by asking questions like, "How is this going to happen?" or "Am I qualified for this?" or "What if I don't have the right answers?" In the "Feeding of the 5,000", Jesus invited the disciples to join him and like us they doubted and asked a lot of questions! The reality is that Jesus had already given them, and us, everything needed! Let's unpack John 6 together.
