In our series Relationships In A Broken World, Pastor Josh unpacks what it means to utilize singleness in an undistracted devotion to God. Singleness is not meant to be wasted, it’s a gift from God. We also take a close look at who to date by examining cause, character, chemistry and community.

In part 4 of our series, Pastor Efrain unpacks the importance of keeping the faith. The kind of faith Paul is talking about is not faith that moves God BUT rather faith that moves us to TRUST GOD even if He doesn't seem to be moving.

Pastor Josh kicked off a brand new series called “Endure” through the book of 2 Timothy. Learn how you can endure through the difficult seasons of life. The words of Paul to young Timothy to “fan into flame” are still true for us today and give us insight on how to Endure.

At Wake Church, we value the youth because we believe in raising up world changers! This week, Pastor Dequalin Jackson, focuses on our 5th Core Value, the Next Generation. As we look at the future of our world today, we must equip the next generation with Faith! With faith, they will learn how to fight, how to love and respect deeply, how to influence, how to live in tension, and how to keep the hope of the Lord. With Faith, we can let the Next Generation know that’s it’s going to be ok!

Jesus showed us the power of multiplication when he equipped and empowered his disciples. Pastor Efrain focuses on our 4th Core Value here at Wake: Kingdom Multiplication. He also reminds us that gospel of Jesus Christ leads to multiplication. We are committed to multiplication from the pulpit to groups. We are striving to equip and empower the saints for the work of ministry! We will raise up and sacrificially send out for the advancement of the Kingdom of God in our city and beyond. We will never stop sending!

Pastor Josh unpacked our third core value “Missional Living.” This life style is one that’s not always comfortable, but is powerful and well worth it. God has called us to be disciples who make disciples and we can accomplish this by living on mission where we live, work, learn, and play.

The kind of life Jesus offers isn’t something we were meant to experience by ourselves. Pastor Efrain focuses on our second core value here at Wake: Biblical Community. He also reminds us that because God has adopted us into His family, we never have to live life alone. As we walk through life together-through the good, the bad, the struggles, and the celebrations- we discover a richness that comes only through these Gospel relationships that challenge us, ground us, and help us grow into fully devoted disciples.

In our first message of 2021, Pastor Josh gives us clarity on how the gospel isn’t just our starting point but how we need it everyday. Gospel Centrality is the first of our five core values as a church. At Wake, we always start with Jesus!
