🇬🇧 Cathy Besson is a French researcher in the field of plant ecology. For the last 20 years she worked in the Faculty of Science of Lisbon, where she studied the impact of climate changes on Mediterranean vegetation and more specifically on the Portuguese oak woodland. She loves nature and hiking and enjoys to share her passion for ecology with anybody willing to reconnect with our beautiful planet Earth. As a direct consequence of the COVID crisis, she recently decided to leave her research activity aside to focus on the healing power of Nature on human well-being. As an ecotherapist she aims to promulgate the multiple benefits of Nature immersion and outdoor awareness on the physical and mental health. As an amateur artist, she creates artwork illustrations in her blog Serendipity.pt to showcase life’s beauty, promote the protection of Wild Life and Biodiversity and spread positive healing energy into the world.⁠
