Wake Up Call with Tony Desiere & Ronn Culver

Joining SB Nation AM to preview the #Panthers upcoming season as well as the latest on #CamNewton's injury, is friend of the show Brendan Marks, beat writer for the Charlotte Observer.

Good

#Padres "Rick Rolled" the #RedSox fans in #PetcoPark

Bad

#AndrewLuck has more to worry about than fans booing him, he just moved to the top of #OJSimpson's hit list; one fantasy footballer had the worse draft ever.

Worst of the day though has to be no more #CaptainAndrewLuck tweets.

Dumb

#Raiders WR #AntonioBrown will wear a new custom helmet after getting lucrative endorsement deal offers from helmet companies.

Tony & Ronn look back at #AndrewLuck's career from how highly touted he was coming out of college to the inefficiencies by the #Colts in being able to build a decent offensive line around him to all the injuries that eventually led to his retirement...also some golfers this weekend made stupid money

Guest: John Michael Vincent from 1070 The Fan joins the show to give Indy's perspective on the retirement of Andrew Luck.

Tony & Ronn are previewing the #NFCSouth this week...#Panthers are on the clock; #CamNewton, #ChristianMcCaffrey, #GregOlsen all need to remain healthy for the season for this offense to really control games

Guest: Brendan Marks of the Charlotte Observer joins the show to help preview the Panthers upcoming season.

The #NFL just can't let #collegefootball have nice things...#AndrewLuck retiring completely nulls the fact that college football is underway. #Colts fans may not like Luck's decision, but Tony and Ronn explain why it all makes sense.

The Good The Bad The Dumb...#Padres prank #RedSox fans; #OJSimpson has thoughts on Andrew Luck's retirement; #Raiders WR #AntonioBrown loses helmet grievance again, but gets a huge payday.

Good

Most people will see this as a negative, but an 85 year old woman was arrested, along with five men ranging in age from 62 to 85 for being involved in lewd and sexual activity in the Grace Richardson conservation area in Fairfield, #Connecticut.

Bad

#MLB had to issue a statement warning it's players from using those male enhancement pills typically found in convenient stores and gas stations.

Dumb

#Australian basketball fans got a rude awakening, court side seats for the exhibition game went for $1500 and it simply was a plastic lawn chair with no visibility of the court.

Some #MLB news and notes has Ronn upset, "What are you doing #Mets?!!!" #callupTebow; Tony and Ronn might have to learn A's players names after all

It's just preseason, but are we seeing the making of a quarterback controversy brewing with the #Giants

Guest: former #Georgia QB Hutson Mason joins the show for his weekly hit to talk all things #collegefootball

#Cowboys have offered #EzekielElliott a contract, #Pac12 has decided no more 9am kickoffs, but the big news to the show is Tony is taking a year long sabbatical from calling high school football games to spend more time with his family...very sound professional statement right there!

The Good The Bad The Dumb...never too old to get your freak on; #MLB has to issue a statement regarding those gas station enhancement pills; #Australia basketball fans learn the hard way about floor seats

Tony & Ronn say it every year, and last night proved it once again...why are you playing your star quarterback in a meaningless #NFL Preseason game?

Real football starts this weekend with #Florida taking on #Miami; there's no looking back now until February.

Cody Stoots, host of The Main Event on the SB Nation Radio Network joins the show to talk all things #Texans football.
