Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey (R) says the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's office is a law enforcement agency first, an agency that he says must be primarily concerned with preserving public safety. General Bailey joined us live this morning on 939 the Eagle's "Wake Up Mid-Missouri" to discuss his office's release of the Kim Gardner report. The attorney general pushed for her ouster, before she resigned in May. General Bailey tells listeners that Ms. Gardner turned control of St. Louis streets to criminals and that there were 4,000 police reports sitting on a desk that Gardner never touched. He says that with new Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore, the warrant office closed under Gardner has now re-opened. Attorney General Bailey also discussed the abortion issue on the program:

State Sen. Andrew Koenig (R-Manchester) will serve his 16th and final year in the Missouri Legislature in 2024, due to term limits. He chairs the Senate Education and Workforce Development Committee and is also seeking the GOP nomination for Missouri Treasurer in 2024. Senator Koenig joined us live this morning on 939 the Eagle's "Wake Up Mid-Missouri" to preview the 2024 session, which begins January 3 in Jefferson City. One of his top priorities is what he describes as initiative petition reform. Senator Koenig tells listeners that changing the Missouri Constitution should require a higher threshold than a simple majority. Democrats strongly oppose the change, saying Missouri voters have been approving things like a minimum wage increase, Medicaid expansion and a right-to-work repeal because GOP lawmakers are not listening to voters. But Senator Koenig disagrees. He wants to see an IP bill pass that would require a proposed Missouri constitutional amendment to be approved by voters in five of the state's eight congressional districts. Senator Koenig says cities shouldn't be able to tell farmers what to do and versa. Senator Koenig also called for the expansion of school choice and a parental bill of rights on the program. He'll also focus on transgender legislation in 2024:

He tells listeners that Mizzou football's success has translated into success for Columbia hotels and restaurants. He also says EquipmentShare's $100-million expansion in Columbia is going well near I-70's Lake of the Woods interchange, saying they're focusing on ramping up their hiring. Mr. McCormick describes EquipmentShare and the new jobs as a great company and great jobs. The 555 new jobs are expected to pay about $42,000 annually:

Mr. Crane supports the proposed conference center site near Madison's Cafe and says it's the right time, right place and right team. He also says Jefferson City's hotels are struggling and need more conventions and convention space.
