In this week's episode, I talk to retired Army Chief Warrant Office, Thomas Shipp about his mission to share his journey and how he is navigating PTSD. Thomas is using the acronym PTSD to deliberately focus on Peace, Therapy, Serenity, and Discovery.  We had this discussion in 2019 before the world was shut down but he is still planning his "My PTSD" tour once the world opens up and it's safe to do so.

RESILIENCE. In this episode, I had the opportunity to sit down with Niki Glen and Christina Wiese of Africa Ignite. Africa Ignite helps marginalized rural communities (focusing on women, youth and children) to earn a decent living, develop sustainable enterprises, learn usable skills, tell their stories, protect their health and environment, and improve the quality of their education and ultimately improve the quality of life. When COVID happened, the organization took a hit but listen to how they are still moving forward and pivoting to ensure they are serving the community.

GRACE.  Cheri Garcia is the founder of Cornbread Hustle, a staffing agency for second chances. Cheri was able to reinvent her own life and wanted to extend that to others. The only people that are employed at her agency are formerly incarcerated citizens or individuals in recovery.
