Scripture Alone:  500 years ago and obscure German monk rocked the known world and changed it forever. After searching the Scriptures and searching his conscience this German monk nailed a series of debate points on the door of his local church.  This obscure German monk was Martin Luther and the year was 1517.Today we are beginning a five part series based upon the five doctrinal affirmations by the reformers. Welcome to our “Faith in Space” episode.  Last fall Canadian astronaut and newly appointed Governor General, the Right Honourable Julie Payette was addressing a science conference in Montreal. A happy Mother’s Day to all our listeners.  This morning we are pleased to welcome Dr. Wendy LeMarquand to the show.  She and her husband Bishop Grant LeMarquand have been church planting in Ethiopia.  Ethiopia is in Africa located south of Egypt and east of Sudan.  Dr. Wendy has been active in remarkable public health initiatives amongst the villages in western Ethiopia. Since Easter Day a month ago we have continued our focus on the resurrection of Jesus.  With Mother’s Day just a week away we are going to combine both of these themes.      This week and next we are going to profile some amazing women who have undertaken remarkable missionary work so that Jesus’ resurrection can be known far and wide.    This week we focus on CUBA.  With us this morning is CLAUDIA DORRINGTON who lives with her husband Bishop Charles Dorrington in Victoria, British Columbia.      Their work in Cuba began 15 years ago with an invitation that came to them out of the blue, asking them to assist a Pastor in a remote village in the east end of Cuba.  Since their first trip to meet this Pastor their work has grown from a single congregation to 46 congregations today and an average Sunday attendance in these congregations of almost 1000 people!  It is a remarkable work and clearly a move of God.  We are delighted to have Claudia Dorrington with us in the studio this morning interviewed by Pastor Brian McVitty.  Production by Derek Welsman.
