  • Sydney's Chilly Forecast, Traffic Updates, and Exciting Local Events
Grab your umbrellas, Sydney! In this segment of the Wake Up Sydney podcast, we have your daily weather and traffic update with a dash of wit to brighten your day despite grey skies. Keep a light jacket handy as it is a crisp 16.5°C here in the CBD, with light rain in the forecast and temperatures predicted to stay below 21°C.
If you're in Parramatta, brace for some chills as colder conditions are reported. Ocean lovers at Bondi Beach, it might be a good idea to skip the sandcastle building and sunbathing today, courtesy of showers.
On the roads, it's all smooth sailing with zero incidents reported. However, train riders, stay vigilant. The city to Western Line is a bit shaky with some disruptions. If you're boarded, our advice is to shimmy over to the buses at Olympic Park. Regrettably, the South Coast Line between Coalcliff and Thirroul finds itself underwater, leading to disruptions due to flooding.
Event-wise, your local brewery enthusiasts have a reason to celebrate. The Bitter and Twisted Beer Festival is on at Maitland Gaol. Soccer fans can gear up for a series of A-League matches at McDonald Jones Stadium. And for our basketball lovers, it's game on between Sydney Kings and New Zealand Breakers at the Qudos Bank Arena.
Unfortunately, due to the rather unfriendly weather, the MS Gong ride has been scrapped off. Fret not, listeners! Remember, the only constant is change, so stay proactive and check your transport apps regularly. And be sure to stay tuned to Wake Up Sydney for the latest weather and traffic updates to navigate your day smoothly.
