Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly.
Today we’re in Exodus 3:11, where Moses asks God, “Who am I that I should go?” This episode is all about identity, calling, and what happens when God asks you to do something bigger than your comfort zone.
Moses had a real question. God was calling him to do something impossible, and his first response was not confidence. It was doubt. He looked at himself, his limitations, and his past, and wondered how he could possibly be the one for such a big assignment. But God’s answer was simple and powerful: “I will be with you.”
This message is such a great reminder that when God calls you, He is not asking you to do it alone. In fact, many of the things God puts in front of you are bigger than what you can do by yourself on purpose. That way, you learn to rely on Him, trust Him, and walk with Him. If you could do it all on your own, you would never need His strength, His direction, or His help.
Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly talk about how easy it is to second guess yourself, especially when something feels stretching, unfamiliar, or uncomfortable. But stepping out matters. God often directs your steps while you are moving, not while you are standing still. Sometimes you learn, grow, adjust, and find your direction as you go. The key is not to let fear keep you frozen.
You may feel unqualified, uncertain, or not enough. But if God is with you, you already have what you need to take the next step. Do not let insecurity talk you out of what God is calling you into.
