Romans 3:23 tells us that we fall short of the glory of God! This is not meant to be used as a banner to continue to sin. Sometimes we are all in dark places and God provides the light of escape. It's through the grace of God that he's able to give us the illumination we need to move out of the dark place and into his marvelous light. Take the step forward to look for the light in the midst of your dark place, your bearing time and when you feel dismayed. Elizabeth has gotten good news and Zechariah is going to be a father of the last Old testament prophet. Gabriel is now 6 months later going to see Mary and give her even greater news, she's going to be the mother of the Messiah!

There's nothing on the surface that is a violation of a 63 year old man marrying a 18-year-old woman. The question is when did he start courting her and grooming her to be married. This deserves an observation and a discussion especially since it's being justified inside the church. We need to stop sticking our head in the sand and actually question behavior that may be detrimental to the cause of Christ and damage the witness of those who are called to be pastor. Again it's not the fact of legality but when did it start and why did you have to marry her on her birthday?#drjcs2
