Welcome to another walk and talk w/ Rae 🤍Â
On part two of our healing series….. we will be talking about confronting our giant and replacing it with truth.
Last week we talked about examining ourselves and acknowledging our giants . And this week we will talk about confronting our giant and replacing the lies with the truth.Â
One thing about healing is once we know things…sometimes we beat ourselves up for the things we didn’t know, the things we didn’t do or the things we should’ve done. I want to encourage you to see healing as an opportunity to do better and not an opportunity to beat yourself up. The truth is when we recognize our dysfunction, old patterns and pain. It can be really uncomfortable and it can make us feel a lot of guilt and shame. But I want to encourage you to see the truth as an opportunity for a new beginning. The Bible tells us in Isaiah 43:18-19 ““Do not remember the former things, Or ponder the things of the past. Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.”
We see a great example in the Bible about David and Goliath. David was the only one willing to stand up to the giant while everyone else around him was afraid. The thing about David, he knew who was with him and he knew who he served, GOD! David knew he wasn’t alone and neither are you. Just like David had the strength to face a giant that was bigger than him…We also have the strength to do the same thing ! So I encourage you this week to confront your giant and replace it with the truth!
Scriptures for the week:
- John 8:36
- John 14:6
- 1 Samuel 17 ( the chapter about David and Goliath )
