Sometimes God speaks up and disturbs what I I thought were going to be mighty thoughts and he leads me somewhere else. My ordination in the ministry I was called to was because God touched my heart and he taught me that life is all about loving people. On the 62nd anniversary of my ordination I have decided to tell some stories about some of those people. I hope you enjoy them.

I believe it is so important to be honest, especially with those you love the most. This week I’m going to tell you about a storyteller who was not truthful and then I’m going to tell you about one who always is.

Our attitude towards people depends on our outlook in life doesn’t it? If we expect people to be miserable, in all probability they’ll be miserable. If we expect people to be pleasant and welcoming and happy, in all probability that’s exactly the way they will be. We have the ability to make this choice.

Being alone to reflect is important, but this walk would be worth nothing if I walked it alone. It means everything because you walked it with me. I like being alone, but not better than when you are able to walk with me here, wherever we are led, by the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ.

As adults, we no longer reach up and hold our parent’s hand in times of difficulty. Children grow up and they must face life on their own. So what do we do when we are adults and face sorrow and adversity? When we desperately need help and support and a sense of security. What do we do? What must we do? We must reach up our hands with the faith and trust of a child to God.

It was my prayer at each and every marriage ceremony that the couple united by God would have a life lasting and a happy relationship. I do not receive the hundreds of Christmas cards I once received from the couples I married, but since moving to New Hampshire five years ago, I have not sent Christmas letters to the couples either. It is my hope that this walk and podcast will express that letter in the spoken, not written word, to them… and to you.

How are we supposed to live when funds are short? In this time when everything seems so expensive, we need to remember that Jesus speaks to us of the birds of the air and the flowers of the field and how God the Father watches over them. And He watches over us as well.
