On today's walk I resolve to listen to Portchester waking up on a Saturday morning

The early morning is a great time for quiet contemplation

The people living in our community are probably outnumbered by our wildlife

On today's walk were are thinking, not about people but about all of the diverse life forms that surround us

They, surely, also call this place home

On today's walk around Portchester I reflect on the blunt report from climate scientists Code red For Humanity

Our village is severely exposed to rising sea levels

On my early morning strolls around Portchester I often encounter dogs and their owners

I'm rarely comfortable around dogs but they provide introductions to their owners - and often inspire writing when I return home
