We interview Joel Lechelt in this episode to learn more about what constitutes religion, the role of religion in large-scale society, and how dominant religion can inform the written and unwritten rules of dominant culture.

In this episode, we bring back Melodie Steele and invite Kimberly Shivers to share their experiences as women in the church. We discuss the ins and outs of being women in ministry, and what it's like find your place in the church as a single woman. Through hearing their experiences we are able to uncover relational divides as a the first step in working towards church unity.

The dynamics between members of opposite genders have historically been on the volatile side. With Melodie Steel and Jacob Huey, we find a biblical perspective as to why that is, tackle the difference between roles and gifting, and discuss what we can do to build unity among men and women in the church body.
