Listen Later

Adrian Pritchard talks to Ann Carragher about her workshops and exhibition at the gallery located in Fleetwood Market.

Ann Carragher is an interdisciplinary artist and educator who works with a diverse range of mediums. Her practice focuses on exploring spaces and places, both natural landscapes and urban environments, to investigate concepts of identity and belonging. Walking plays a crucial role in her creative process.

The unique architecture and captivating topography of Fleetwood's coastline and town, offer a rich source of inspiration, allowing workshop participants

to explore various elements within an inclusive community setting.

This exhibition showcases the unique visual responses of artists who participated in the Walking, Chatting, and Mapping workshops. Through these collaborative sessions, memories, stories, and hidden layers of the town of

Fleetwood and the surrounding landscape of the Fylde were uncovered and transformed into art. Each piece reflects a personal journey, capturing the
essence of place and the emotional imprints left by time and experience.

Artists in the exhibition include Anna Briggs, Janine Walker, Fly Curran, Carolyn Sillis and Adrian Pritchard.

This exhibition has been extended until the 14th December 2024. Please contact the studio coordinator for more information. [email protected]
