John writes to the faithful believers in Asia Minor to warn them about the false teachings that were threatening the church. In this section, he reveals, the correct view of sin, so that Christian’s will not be caught up in self deception. If a Christian acknowledges their sin and walk in holiness, then they are walking in the light (1 John 1:5-2:2).
