Living in sin can feel like a fun joyride in the moment. You get instant gratification and temporary satisfaction, but it will soon be over when Jesus comes back. Today, Pastor Johnny will remind you that sin will only lead to death and destruction, but living a holy life will lead to everlasting joy and eternal life in heaven. 

Have you ever raised your hands during worship, or are you more concerned about what people would think of you if you did? What are the things in your life drawing you away from your relationship with God? It could be a relationship, a material possession, or an addiction. All these can take you away from what the Holy Spirit is trying to speak into your life. Today, Pastor Johnny will encourage you to repent of the sin hindering your walk with God. 

Have you ever been to a concert and said, “Wow, that was an amazing microphone!” Or watched the winning field goal and thought, “Those laces on the football were awesome!” Today Pastor Johnny reminds us that we are only God’s instruments. You can be His instrument – when you remember that He is the Player.

Where do people put their hope for the future? In the economy? In who’s running the country? Or in their personal bank account or retirement savings? Today Pastor Johnny shares that all such hopes are hopeless. It’s only when you put your hope and trust in Jesus that your future – earthly and eternally – will be secure.

Have you ever been in a really, really dark place? Not metaphorically, but physically. Like during a total power outage? Or camping in the woods in the middle of the night? Today Pastor Johnny shares that Jesus is our spiritual light. If your life is in the dark – spiritually, He wants to come and turn on the light!

How often have we seen some dream of ours – something we really believed was for the Lord – fail? Pastor Johnny reminds us that when one thing comes to an end, God always has something in it that will lead to a new beginning. If you’re in that place of loss today, hold on to your hope in the providence of God.

If we do what God is calling us to do, it might create hardship. We might wonder, or worry, about the cost of following Him. But Pastor Johnny points out there is another cost to think about: the cost of not following. So, if you don’t want to miss out on God’s blessings, be diligent to seek and follow God’s leading.

Life throws us a lot of curve balls, and we often strike out. Things don’t always go as we want them to… as we think they should. But today, Pastor Johnny reminds us that no matter what happens, God is sovereign. So, when you face that setback or defeat in your life, lift up your eyes to the Throne of God.
