Newman Lake, built in the late 1960’s, is located on the James Madison University campus and attracts individuals from both within the school grounds and outside in the Harrisonburg community. With its beautiful fountain and grassy perimeter, it becomes a hot spot for activities such as fishing, sunbathing, and picnicking.
