We live in a society / world where speaking truth, that people don't want to hear, is very much under brutal attack. However, for a Christian - we have to / we must contend for the faith and for the souls of people with or without their agreement. It is not a battle with another person - the battle is against the enemy of our soul - the devil. So, I refuse to go with the enemy's game plan but rather show my trust in God by staying with his gameplan - Jude 3 contend for the faith

there seems to be an effort by the present generation in world to confront Christians to somehow put us on the defensive by finding us to be wrong and insensitive when we speak the truth of the Gospel. A. when we speak the Gospel, we are following Christ. B. Anything less than truth would be unloving. C. We should not be afraid to be assertive (with respect) when we are carrying life saving truth in our message. Amen

very short podcast on who we are in Christ - a big part of that answer is this: we are a part of the Body of Christ and as a part of the Body we each have jobs to do- primarily to love God supremely and to love our neighbor (especially other members of the body) as ourself
