Many people call today "Maundy Thursday", for the events of this day, 2000 years ago, set in motion the most significant weekend in all human history! Jerusalem and surrounding villages like Bethany and Bethpage, were crowded beyond capacity for the Passover week festivities. The disciples had asked Jesus where they were going to experience the Passover meal together.

How seriously do you take warnings? Warnings of approaching dangerous storms; or warnings that the road you are traveling is blocked ahead; or warnings about your health risks; or warnings about an imminent financial crisis; or warnings that relationships you treasure are fraying; or what about warnings that truth is being eroded?  How about spiritual warnings my friends? Do you welcome warnings that alert you to danger with your soul and your spiritual condition?

Have you ever been moved to tears with news of something terrible that will soon happen? Perhaps it's a great and destructive storm coming that no human effort or plan can stop, but we anticipate terrible destruction? Perhaps a planned military action that will cause terrible casualties?  Yesterday I left you watching Jesus WEEP over the city of Jerusalem! I suggested it was in part because He was God incarnate and was therefore able to look down through the corridors of time past and future to see all the horrific things which would happen in that great city when the people would over and over, in so many different generations, reject God and God's reach to them.

This is a special week all around the world, isn't it? Palm Sunday was yesterday, Easter is coming next weekend. Now I wonder what difference those two significant historical events make in your part of the world? How often will those two days and their significance affect your lives, your thinking, your priorities this week? In fact, what difference have the events of those two days, 2000 years ago, made in your life...today?

Hello my "Walking with Jesus" friends on this Friday which leads us to Palm Sunday weekend, We're traveling these days with Jesus and His disciples and other friends, as they're on their way to Jerusalem for that historic Passover/Easter weekend about 2000 years ago! Yesterday I left you watching the children of two towns Bethany and Bethpage, come running to greet Jesus as they could see the little crowd coming down the road.

Children are one of God's special gifts to our world, do you agree? Depending on your age and where you live in the world, children may be a rare sight, or you may be surrounded by noisy kids! As I read the four Biblical records of the life of Jesus on earth, it seems children frequently showed up when large crowds gathered to see Jesus.

Years ago, sometimes you'd hear someone say flippantly "the devil made me do it!" as they tried to explain their mistake or failure. I wonder what you think about that statement. Let's resume our journey with Jesus and His disciples on their way from Jericho to Jerusalem only a few days before Palm Sunday about 2000 years ago.

True to the title of our time together each day, we have joined Jesus and His closest friends as they are walking toward Jerusalem only a few days before that famous Passover/Easter weekend which changed the world, about 2000 years ago. We began on the other side of the Jordan river, what they often called the wilderness area, and a small village of Ephraim where Jesus had been staying trying to keep out of the public eye for a while because of the schemes of the Pharisees to arrest and eliminate Jesus, according to John 11:54.

Good Monday morning my "Walking with Jesus" friends,  Do you enjoy remembering special times in your past? Our God given ability to remember, even in great detail, is a wonderful gift to us from God, do you agree? Have you noticed almost anything can trigger your memory?
