Continuing with the 7 days of Kwanzaa series, we have today's principle, Ujima. It means collective work and responsibility. And how I interpret this as has always been the course of my life is that people & meaningful relationships are the currency of life.

A business' success heavily depends on the relationships it forms with its customers. On today's episode, I want to share some strategies that I've employed over the past five years to maintain a healthy business and strong client relationships.

"Kujichagulia" (Ku-jee-cha-goo-lee-a)

Means Self-Determination. It means to be responsible for your own behavior because you're in control of your own ship. And the minute that you start understanding that, is the minute you start unlocking so much better behavior.

The name Kwanzaa comes from the phrase 'matunda ya kwanza' which means 'first fruits' in the Swahili language. Today's word is Umoja, which means Unity.
