Nothing else new to report on the block, except more pain. Markets showed some resilience in Thursday’s trading day and decided to go more down (wrong direction). Peloton joined the pain party and hires McKinsey just to tell them their company is fucked. Netflix’s hayday is definitely over and the Fed has set the stage for an absolute abysmal near future for everyone.

Yuppie and BB talk the absolute decimation of their portfolios, the imminent rate hikes by the Fed and the guaranteed bloodbath that will ensue, and the predatory loaning that is BNPL. Also, will fake meat be the hot new thing in 10 years? BB thinks so. And lastly, RIP to the legend and everyone’s pops, Bob Saget. The world lost a beautiful human.

Happy new year to all the homies. We hope your 2021 was fantastic and that your 2022 is even better (doubtful). We’re ringing in the new year in an absolute bloodbath and a reminiscence of the greatest events of 2021. Geopolitical turmoil is very much relevant, Elon Musk defies the laws of just about everything, and Apple made history in surpassing a $3 Trillion valuation. Cheers to 2022, let’s do the damn thing.

In arguably the most philosophical discussion to date, the boys totally derailed on a discussion regarding the imminent ending to the most immaculate bull market in history, Reddit’s much too late rise to stardom, and why stuff doesn’t actually cost less nowadays (RIP Yuppie. Death via shelf). Buckle up people because you’re in for a treat. This is the product of two pseudo-intellectuals talking the future.

Yet another installment of the Wall Skreet Show where we are much too bearish. It’s honestly a gd shame, but you can blame the Federal Reserve for reversing course (obviously they needed to lol), and the American consumer who is terribly exhausted at this point. Consumer credit growth is going WAY down, and we are in for a rude awakening as an imminent supply shock and slowed spending will result in an (oddly enough) deflationary 2022. Also, in no shortage of events, the first Metaverse marriage apparently took place. I don’t want to live on this planet any more.

An absolute bloodbath in the markets brought on by the one and only Omnicorn variant is proving to be the Wall Skreet boys’ worst nightmare. As we had originally projected, retail sales during the black friday & cyber monday extravaganza were down despite there being a “booming recovery” taking place within the economy. We are taking on record amounts of debt and are quite literally levered to the gd teeth. What could possibly go wrong? If all else fails, long rare earth metals, baby.

Arguably the most tangential episode to date. Yuppie and BB linked up live in stunning fashion and recorded anything but a worthwhile pod. Too many bourgons proved to be our downfall as we discussed consumer sentiment, Apple's newfound claim to fame, the USD garnering much strength, and our favorite fast food joint going public and not looking back.

With a huge CPI print on Wednesday and a 5th straight month of inflation over 5%, we are quite literally in for a world of higher prices. It’s hard to imagine that the liquidity hype train was going to reach its final destination, but it looks like that unfortunate circumstance is coming in short order. Elon Musk in stunning fashion might be calling the market top as he unloads a shit ton of Tesla shares at a moment when Tesla stock couldn’t be more ~overvalued~. That’s brilliant market insight that you simply cannot teach. This discussion also begs the question, is WeWork destined for success?

The FOMC comes out in stunning fashion and actually lays out a plan for their asset purchase reduction plan (so long, partner). It is truly devastating to think about a world where QE infinity doesn’t exist, and it looks like that world could come as soon as June 2022. This begs the question, will Summer 2022 officially be a sad boy summer? Also, we would be remiss not to talk about how Peleton gets absolutely upended after-hours after missing on revenue and new user subscriptions. Good riddance.

Zuckerberg pulls a 180 and decides to just change the name of the renowned Facebook, to Meta? In any case, Apple posts a surprising top and bottom line miss, we are still blaming the Q3 economic “growth” slowdown on Delta, and apparently we’re 3D printing homes now (we can print money, why can’t we just start printing homes anyways?). WELCOME TO THE METAVERSE BITCHES, we’re happy to have you.
