We’ve all heard stories that grow over time. Maybe the fish you caught on that trip 10 years ago has grown over time, or the golf shot to win a round moved closer and closer to the hole. All of these stories were based in truth at one time but kind of grow over time. Sometimes we do the same thing with God’s Word.

Have you ever taken a step back and thought about how you ended up in your

particular career, relationship, or religion? Did you just stumble into those things by happenstance? Have you ever thought about how you make these kind of major decisions? 1 John 2:15-17 helps us make the really big decisions in our life.

The resurrection is part of God's perfect plan to bring restoration, relationship, and hope into the world.

One of the things we learned the last couple of years is how important it is to stay

connected to the people we care about. Our connection to Jesus is even more

important!

When our hearts are troubled, Jesus provides us with comfort and hope.

Think about all the gates and doors that you utilize in your life. They provide privacy, protection and access to different venues. In John 10:1-10, Jesus describes Himself as a door. This message will examine exactly what Jesus means.

Answering the question "Who is Jesus?" is one of the most important thing we can do. The "I Am" statements continue to reveal who Jesus truly is. Jesus is the light for all people to know God and have life.

Jesus is the good shepherd. He laid down his life for his sheep when he went to the cross to pave the way for us to spend eternity with him.

Chapter 11 is a very significant chapter in John’s gospel. Chapters 1-11 talks about Jesus’ earthly ministry, which lasted about 3 years. Chapters 12-19 talks about the things that happened in the week leading up to

Jesus’ crucifixion. Chapter 11 is significant in that it serves as the conclusion to the first half as well as the introduction to the second half of John’s gospel. This chapter is also significant in that it has the last

and the climax of Jesus’ miracles.

Think of the last time that you were offended. Was it more than year ago? Have you been offended recently? Would you say you are easily offended? One author has this great phrase: "What offends the mind, reveals the heart.” Has Jesus ever offended you? When I look at the life of Jesus, he used the most peculiar methods to get us here. Almost to the point of chasing people away and sabotaging his own movement!
