In Romans 5:1-11, Paul adds to his discussion of justification by meditating on the benefits of our right standing before God. This gives the believer every reason to rejoice throughout this life and into eternity.

Have you ever met someone that you wanted to be more like? We see this attitude in little kids when they dress up like their parents or play with toys that resemble the tools their parents utilize. Abraham was this kind of hero for Paul’s Jewish audience and Paul wanted them to emulate Abraham. Maybe just not in the way they were expecting!

When we believe something about God that isn't true, it hurts our faith. Scripture shows us the true answer to debunking these four myths.

Mother’s Day is a special day to celebrate mom! Often when moms are asked what they want for Mother’s Day they will respond with one of two requests: 1. “I just want to spend time with my family, with the people I love.” or 2. “I just want a day to myself, free from the people I love!” We’ve all been in both of those spots before! Families are a blessing from God and we can honor Him with our families.

It is pretty cool when you discover you have something in common with a new acquaintance. Maybe you graduated from

the same school or you grew up in the same town or you simply have another friend in common. This commonality

provides you with shared history to draw from and adds to your potential relationship.

I remember in Junior High some kids walking through the hallway with shirts

on inside out because their graphic tees violated the school’s dress code. This might have had the opposite effect that the school administration wanted since everyone asked these kids, “why is your shirt inside out?” It maybe drew more attention to the inappropriate content than if they just let

them go.

I have a daughter who is convinced that she is her parents' favorite child. How many times have we heard a kid say, "my teacher just doesn't like me!" or have we thought that an employer or coach was playing favorites? This is basically the attitude of Israel through the OT and into the NT in Scripture. Paul works in Romans to teach us that God has no favorites.

“What is your problem?!” Have you ever walked in on someone asking this question? Have you ever asked someone this question? It’s been my experience when we are asking someone this question, we usually have a pretty good idea what their problem really was, at least from our perspective. We all share the same

problem in our relationship with God, of which we need to be keenly aware!

I’m not much of a dancer, but I used to like to embarrass my kids by claiming to have

“moves!” Dancing has certainly changed over the years from ball room to break

dancing, from the moonwalk to the Macarena to whatever I’m too old to know about today! The moves have changed! Easter moves in a way that is unchanging and eternal and is for everyone of us!

Webster defines dare as, “to challenge, to perform an action especially as a proof of

courage.” As Mark 11 opens we see Jesus daring to enter Jerusalem as King. This

entrance should dare us to follow Him.
