Wallula recently sent a team to Honduras to to put on a VBS, paint, and serve in many other ways. We spent a Sunday celebrating all of the great things that God did on this trip!

Have you ever heard a story about the guy who decided not to invest in the little start up company called microsoft? Or maybe your great uncle who didn’t think anyone would want to drink that goofy coca-cola? The investments that hurt most are the ones that we never make.

The Boy Scout motto is, "Always Be Prepared!" It's sort of unrealistic isn't it? Can you really be prepared for every situation, in every moment? Probably not, but we must be prepared for life's most important moments and certainly for eternity!

Often times we can find ourselves in an "anything goes" mindset or we know that we have the right do something that pleases us. But the Christian life is meant to be lived in a way that benefits others and glorifies God. Are you living in a way that builds up others and points them towards Christ?

Temptation is all around us, all the time, and there are so many things that distract us from what is most important. It is impossible to avoid all the possible distractions, so we must have a better plan for how to handle the temptation that surrounds us.

"To serve or not serve?", has never really been a question. More and more in our world today people inside and outside of the church recognize the importance of service. Still many people have questions about how they can best serve God and others.

When I was a kid, I never wore jeans to church. I had clothes for school, play, and church and they didn't overlap. Today, I wear jeans to church all the time. When I was a kid we sung out of hymnals, today we read words off of a screen. Sometimes the way we do church changes; maybe even the rules we follow change. With so many different opinions about how to do church, what we should and shouldn't do in life, what really matters to God?

It's a funny question isn't it? Why is being content, peaceful, not anxious so hard? In part our culture is set up for us to not be content. We are supposed to strive for something more, the American dream, etc. All the while, what are we striving for? Well, to be content, satisified, happy.

Nobody weighs enough, the cost of marriage. We tend to approach marriage like we approach our dream home. We make modifications to our dream only when we realize, for one reason or another, it is entirely unattainable. We are then left asking the question; what is my marriage supposed to look like?

People love extremes. We like to go too fast, fly too high and dive too deep. Extreme sports are pretty outrageous, but following Jesus is the ultimate extreme sport!
