Courage is a disappearing virtue in the Western world. Even the word "courage" is disappearing from our literature! As followers of Jesus, we must ask, "where does our courage come from?"

Most of us are more than willing to share our favorite restaurant or to let our friends know what we think about the latest game, but we are far less likely to speak up about our faith. There is nothing worth sharing more than our faith in Jesus!

When is the last time you leaped anywhere? Do you remember when you were a kid? Every rain puddle was an opportunity to take a leap! As followers of Jesus we have the opportunity to take a leap of faith into mission with Him!

The story of the resurrection begs a response. Will your response be to "come and see" so that you can "go and tell"?

Before Jesus goes to the cross, his triumphal entry shows us that he is the Messiah worthy of worship!

Jesus did not suffer and overcome in the way that the disciples expected him to. We have a choice to make each day in how we react to suffering and God's will for our lives.

This passage about judgement day gives a depiction of the end times, but also a framework for our mission on earth right now.

You've probably heard, “sticks & stones will break your bones but words will never hurt me.” As you gain a little life experience you realize the saying simply isn’t true. Words really can cause a great deal of pain. Can you imagine the pain endured by Jesus as he suffered through literal sticks and stones combined with the mocking around Him?

What makes a great teacher? Maybe the ability to communicate clearly, the energy to elevate others, or the competency over the material. Even those who are skeptical of Jesus typically admit that He was a great teacher. The only problem is that the very thing that makes Jesus a great teacher is the thing His skeptics doubt.

What comes to mind when you hear the word temptation? Maybe you think of the coworker who brought donuts to the meeting or an advertisement trying to lure you into buying a new car. Jesus faced the tempter himself and provides us with an example to follow.
