We’re all a buzz for National Pollinator Week! TJ from Walmart World talked with Jason, a 26-year Walmart associate and bee keeper, and Debbie, a 32-year Walmart associate who leads the charge to save bees at Store 5037. Listen in as they talk about the important role these pollinators have in sustaining life the way we know it, and the ways Walmart is working to preserve bees and establish more sustainable practices.

We “officially” kicked off summer this week, and we also welcomed our own ray of sunshine, Kirby Gwen back to the show. Melissa from Store 3093 in Meridian, Idaho, was our Associate Caller of the Day and gave a shoutout to the bakery department. In Entertainment News, Bo shared some highlights from the list of 24 inductees added to the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2023, including Ludacris who Bo met back when he had hair. Jake from Store 1053 from La Grange, Kentucky, called and gave a shoutout to his store prepping for inventory, with a special shoutout going out to Store Manager Brad. We also recognize National Skateboarding Day this week. Bo and Chris shared some of their experiences riding skateboards, resulting in Kirby never wanting to try skateboarding for herself. Heading into Father’s Day weekend, Bo and Chris broadcasted LIVE from the grand re-opening of Store 59 in Joplin, Missouri. They were in peak papa mode as they discussed gifts they love from their children and great vacation spots. Richard from Store 1165 in Radcliff, Kentucky, was a first-time Associate Caller of the Day. Kelly from Store 4644 in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, called and gave a big shoutout to Terry in apparel as she celebrated her 30-year anniversary with Walmart. We apple-laud your great work, Terry! “Big Wayne” from Store 5874 in Torrance, California, gave an enthusiastic shoutout to his team and friends at the store. He also gave a special shoutout to his Store Manager to let her know she’s doing a good job. Jasmine from Store 3804 in Randallstown, Maryland, solved today’s Detective Product. We are knot kidding, Alex from Store 1735 in Wheeling, Illinois, was our Associate Caller of the Day and requested “Billie Jean” to be played. In entertainment news, “Jurassic Park” knocked “Maverick” out of the top spot at the box office. We hope Maverick wasn’t in-salted by losing its spot. Bo’s Impossible Question of the Day asked: Nearly 70% of us do this while eating a pretzel. We knead to know which caller will get the correct answer! Pam from Store 7342 in Madison, Alabama, called to give a birthday shoutout to her fellow associate, Angel. We also received a birthday shoutout from Rhonda at Store 2832 in Hardeeville, South Carolina, who wished Team Lead Rose a very happy birthday. Rusty from Store 1037 in Summerville, South Carolina, got the fun started as the Associate Caller of the Day, giving a shoutout to his OGP team. Hector from Store 2206 in Laguna Niguel, California, called in to say he’s excited to work alongside his team lead Allen. The friendship vibes continued when Rene gave kudos to her fellow associates from Store 880 in Irving, Texas, who “showed up and showed out” when she was in need. Associates Week 2022 was a blast! Terry Berry joined the radio team on air and helped Bo introduce our two new DJs, Chris and Kirby Gwen. Our first Sam’s Club caller was Joel from Club 8167 in Franklin, Wisconsin, and representing Walmart was Kate at Store 1009 in Republic, Missouri. Joel gave a shoutout to associate Braden from the Tire Center, and Kate gave one to the whole store. We recognized National Best Friend Day. We know a ton of new friendships were formed during Associates Week. David from Store 5343 in Fredericksburg, Virginia, called and delighted the radio waves as he thanked his team and gave a special shoutout to the DJs. Bo’s Impossible Question of the Day asked: 43% of people have worn this on their head at least once. Lea from Store 5421 in Saint Peters, Missouri, called in and guessed it was a plunger. We welcomed Chris on-air today — his first official show without being a mystery voice anymore after the team wrapped up hosting all the things during the Associate Celebration last week.
