Sermon on trusting in God’s word.

Isaiah 7:1-17

Continuing the sermon series Isaiah A Holly Longing, we see that there is broken communication between God and Isaiah.

Isaiah 6:1-13

During our last series in Ruth, we learned that God protects his people. In this new series in Isaiah about a holy longing, we learn that God is powerful and dangerous; but why should we long for this dangerous God and how can we belong to this God?

Isaiah 6:1-7

We often think that to matter, our lives need to be significant. While that pressure inspires us, it also crushes us. So how do we live lives that matter? The book of Ruth teaches us the vision and possibility of a life that matters.

Ruth 4:1-22

In a world where we live in a constant state of exhaustion how do we find rest, especially through risk and uncertainty?

Ruth 3:1-18

Pastor Jonathan speaks about how God meets those who are empty with His fullness. As a coffee cup with a hairline fracture only leaks when full, will we allow God’s fullness to leak through us to be a blessing to others?

Ruth 2:8-23

Ruth 2:1-7

Pastor Jonathan speaks about the alternative to being alone. We often pursue relationships based on common ground and benefits, but that is not what Ruth teaches us. Ruth shows us that the alternative to being alone is kindness and covenant community and the way we can achieve this alternative.

Ruth 1:6-18

Ruth 1:1-6, 12-22

Our Journey Together. Steve’s last sermon as the Senior Pastor for Walnut Creek. We will miss Steve dearly, but look forward both to what he and Tami will be able to with AlongsideU.org and to being with him eventually worshiping our great God in heaven.
