Many times the heaviest burden in the midst of our trial is the confusion that surrounds us. Burdens are easier when we can see purpose in them. In this sermon we examine the purpose in Christian suffering.

In part 7 of our series we look at the climax of God’s revelation to Abraham.

Christ said, “I am the door.” The Bible teaches to, “Knock and it shall be opened unto you.” We look at three knocks in the Word of God.

Ahithophel was the counselor and friend of David yet when David is driven from the throne by his son Absalom, Ahithophel is all too ready to do damage to his old friend. We look at the source and results of Ahithophel’s bitterness.

In Genesis chapter 22 Isaac asked the question that the human soul has cried since the fall of man. In John chapter 1 John the Baptist answered the question. Behold The Lamb!!!

Soon after Abraham has the righteousness of Christ imputed to him by faith he is faced with temptation. His failure is a sobering lesson for us all.

God said of Eliakim the son of Hilkiah that He would fasten him as a nail. This speaks of God’s will for Eliakim’s life and gives us some tremendous truths about God’s will for our lives.
