There are many stories competing for our attention these days. But one story not getting much of that attention is what’s going on in Afghanistan. There, despite a population that, reports say, is in desperate need of food and health care, the Taliban-controlled government seems more focused on committing atrocities including expanding oppressive policies toward women.
