Dualities of Vietnamese & Americanness: Halfie Stories
A lot of people probably can't relate, yet here we are there are lots of halfies and blended American's so I hope this is an interesting topic. Our stories deserve to be shared, I grew up curious of my own identity, so I hope this will reach some who are open minded and also it can be inspiring to keep going in your journey as a blended cultural person.
The dualities of two cultures are a hard thing to navigate as you navigate your own values, identity, languages, and community.
Asian Americans have this unique experience of trying to bridge the gap between the two cultures that are vastly different (indivudalistic & collective) . We have a lot of uniqueness to share, so I am Vietnamese and American and have been living in my ancestor's homeland of Vietnam.
There are struggles in my upbringing in the US & struggles as a young adult in Vietnam for me too, yet here I am.
Listen a long, in my deep thought, authentic stories, unfiltered talks.. thanks for coming along.
