The hardest part wasn't leaving my marriage. It was sitting alone in Nashville, wondering if I'd made a mistake.....
In this episode of Wandering the Wild Mess, I share one of the hardest seasons of my life—the first month after moving to Nashville completely on my own.
From the outside, it looked exciting. A fresh start. A new city. A new chapter. But behind the smiles was a very different reality. I was grieving the end of my marriage, questioning my decision to leave everything I knew behind, and wrestling with loneliness, fear, and self-doubt.
There were moments when the weight of uncertainty felt overwhelming. Moments when I wondered if I had made a terrible mistake. Moments when the darkness felt louder than the hope.
In this vulnerable episode, I open up about navigating intrusive thoughts, finding faith when I couldn't see the path ahead, and learning that even our darkest seasons have something to teach us.
If you're walking through a difficult chapter, feeling lost, or wondering if things will ever get better, this episode is a reminder that hard seasons don't last forever. Sometimes growth happens in the places we'd never choose for ourselves.
You are not alone. Keep going.
The light has a way of finding us again.
