There today deception and evil which is prevalent worldwide. There is lack of true Fear of God, both out of awe and out of fearing Him who can destroy both body and soul. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, yet today many do not fear this great God enough to stop doing what they do. Rev 15:2-8  And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.  (3)  And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.  (4)  Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.  (5)  And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:  (6)  And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues,

Abraham The Man who believed God

God Called Abraham, the righteous man From the East and set nations before Abraham and Abraham would have seed as the stars of the sky and sand on the sea shore.

Abraham is and was the Father, not after the flesh as many Jews believe. Although Abraham was indeed that to Israel, today it is Abraham and his belief that the Lord was to be believed in all he promised. Thus Abraham is the Father after the spirit, through faith and belief in the Son of God. A spiritual circumcision by the Spirit of God performed on those who have believed and received Yeshua, Jesus.

Before being known as Abraham there was Abram, a call, and a promise:

Gen 12:1- Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

Gen 12:2- And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

Abram believed the LORD and it was counted to him for righteousness. Later the LORD made a covenant with Abraham and told him he would be father of many nations. His name would no longer be called Abram, or high father; but now it would be Abraham, father of many nations.

Abram believed God, before he became known as Abraham

Gen 15:5- And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

Gen 15:6- And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Abram, high Father becomes Abraham Father of many nations

Gen 17:4- As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.

Gen 17:5- Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

We enter into a portion of Thessalonians where the Apostle is telling them the verifiable truth on God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. A time will come, says Paul that those living at that time will reject both the Father and the Son; in addition they will reject the Gospel. All these are wrapped up in the phrase “love of the truth”! People will reject this fact, that God so Loved the World that he gave his Son to die on the cross for all peoples sins. To this, God will as he told Israel through their prophet, “I will choose your delusions and bring your own fears upon you, for when I called you did not answer”! God thus speaks to that generation by “sending them a delusion” through the “Son of Perdition”. So that all who love not the truth, but loved a lie; and not be saved. It is a warning to all men and all nations to as Psalms 2 says “kiss the Son, lest he be angry”!

2Th 2:7-12  For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.  (8)  And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:  (9)  Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,  (10)  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  (11)  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  (12)  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

There is a victory in Christ Jesus. While on earth many find trouble and tribulation as a result of following Jesus; there is coming a time when that cross is laid down.

There is definitely coming a time when the cross of Christ is laid down. The burdens removed, and the tears wiped away by the Lord. It is a time when hope rises above the hurt. But it is also a time when love triumphs over all the earth. In spite of the troubles, this time of victory is accompanied with a time of the Wrath of God upon all those who have rejected Christ Jesus and His Father. There is a choice and at this time we find prophetically that the fulfillment of the Saints of God has come. No more, except on the earth are there troubles. Endurance and Faith addressed to the Thessalonians, Paul lays the groundwork for these believers. He mentions their endurance and faith for all the persecutions they endured. It is certainly here that he leads them from this to the point of the letter, the Lord Comes and will with flaming fire take vengeance upon the wicked.

Counting the cost as Christians means that in all your faith, your endurance must be right alongside your discipleship. Paul spends verses 3 through 12 in one long sentence to describe their suffering, endurance, trials, and faith. The culmination of which is that the Lord Jesus Christ shall bring justice to the earth. For those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the good news the Lord Jesus Christ; there will a cost for their disobedience. This is the news for all believers today to consider as injustice and persecution finds them and their families. There is hope beyond this earthly experience and life.

2Th 1:3-12  We ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because increase greatly doth your faith, and abound doth the love of each one of you all, to one another;  (4)  so that we ourselves do glory in you in the assemblies of God, for your endurance and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye bear;  (5)  a token of the righteous judgment of God, for your being counted worthy of the reign of God, for which also ye suffer,  (6)  since it is a righteous thing with God to give back to those troubling you—trouble,  (7)  and to you who are troubled—rest with us in the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven, with messengers of his power,  (8)  in flaming fire, giving vengeance to those not knowing God, and to those not obeying the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ;  (9)  who shall suffer justice—destruction age-during—from the face of the Lord, and from the glory of his strength,  (10)  when He may come to be glorified in his saints, and to be wondered at in all those believing—because our testimony was believed among you—in that day;  (11)  for which also we do pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of the calling, and may fulfil all the good pleasure of goodness, and the work of the faith in power,  (12)  that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorifie...

Children of Light -The Lord comes as a thief in the night, so the Apostle Paul begins. There will be peace and safety heralded by those in power. But sudden destruction will come instead. We are to Watch, as Children of Light and followers of Christ Jesus.

The believer in Jesus Christ are to watch and be sober. For we are not of the darkness, nor of the night, or of the deeds thereof. We are in the light as Jesus Christ is the light and we walk in Him. We are the light shining in the darkness of humanity. The Day of the Lord comes and many sleep. Here the Apostle Paul is urging the Thessalonians on matters of importance to watch, be sober, and be found in Christ. Don’t become lethargic or fall asleep as many of their day has done.

1Th 5:1-6  But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.  (2)  For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.  (3)  For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.  (4)  But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.  (5)  Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.  (6)  Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

Rev 13:11-18  And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.  (12)  And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.  (13)  And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,  (14)  And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.  (15)  And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.  (16)  And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:  (17)  And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.  (18)  Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

It is a different Christianity. In the Roman empire new faith and new believers faced many issues. Among them were hostile town folk who did not like their religion nor the Christ whom they preached and talked about. Thessalonica was no different. They had readily received the word and believed on Jesus Christ. Yet the group of believers face persecution from the beginning. So much so was this persecution that the Apostle Paul and His group sent Timothy to find out how they were doing. Join us as we learn the lessons of the early Apostle and the early Church.

1Th 3:5-8  For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.  (6)  But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:  (7)  Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:  (8)  For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.

This week we focus on the Dragon and the Beast in Revelation chapter 13. Here the War of the Beast takes off and in this power we find a second beast also revealed.

These two beasts make war against the saints, have power over the nations, and create havoc amidst a one world government. It is the stuff that makes Revelation and the Apocalypse which it contains a miraculous and foreboding prophecy. In this human kind finds itself out maneuvered, out classed, and out powered by this duo of destruction. But in this there is hope, but also danger for many. Join us in this continuation of our study in Revelation.

No matter whether you believe it is Revelatory or just another book, the truths within it will come to pass. It is mysterious, exciting, dangerous, frightening, and in the end reveals that which is to come. The focus in not on the all the trials, judgements, and events. The focus is the revealing or unveiling of the Christ, the Messiach to come. His arrival and the end of all things, this is Revelation!

Rev 13:3-8  And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.  (4)  And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?  (5)  And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.  (6)  And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.  (7)  And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.  (8)  And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
