We continue with the letters to the Churches and here the message is clear and we finish the Prophetic look at the Seven Stars.

Apocalypse, Johns Revelation Part 3 continues as we finish the messages to the Seven Stars, also known as the Seven Churches. Very concise and from the Alpha Omega; this message to John is then sent to the Seven churches throughout the Roman Empire. The Empire of Rome held the world in its grip as the message of the gospel spread from one corner of the western world to the eastern edge.

We now begin at Thyatira, then Sardis, on to Philadelphia, and finally the Laodiceans. The final message that pertains to all churches, their inhabitants, and the nations is that the Lord says “Behold, I come quickly”! To this end, faithfulness and obedience is our goal.

No matter whether you believe it is Revelatory or just another book, the truths within it will come to pass. It is mysterious, exciting, dangerous, frightening, and in the end reveals that which is to come. The focus in not on the all the trials, judgements, and events. The focus is the revealing or unveiling of the Christ, the Messiach to come. His arrival and the end of all things, this is Revelation!

Thyatira Rev 2:18-19

(18)  And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

Sardis Rev 3:1

(1)  And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

Philadelphia Rev 3:7

(7)  And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;

Laodiceans Rev 3:14

(14)  And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

How should a Christian behave? How should those in leadership positions behave? Here Paul gives overall guidance and gives Timothy solid biblical schooling on how to Pastor.

In how to behave in the church there is a reason as to why the church leadership and the Pastors were to act. The reason leads to what Paul calls the mystery of Godliness and then describes this mystery. It is the very reason the Gentiles were grafted into Christ by Faith. This goes beyond mere Pastoral teaching but to the roots and Abraham who believed God and it was imputed unto him for righteousness sake.

We find the Apostle speaking of the last days, the perilous times that would follow these days. It would be a time when people would have a form of godliness, but would deny the power. Timothy was instructed to preach the word and be longsuffering while looking to his Savior and the soon coming.

1Ti 3:14-16

(14)  These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:

(15)  But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

(16)  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

In Revelation the Alpha and Omega, the Almighty tells john the first order is to send letters to the Seven Churches, amazing as this is; it details the focus of the Prophetic order.

Revelation part Two details a message “To the Church”, each and every one of the Seven listed represent a detailed portion of the perfect completion and plan of God. However, it not only details prophecy, knowledge, and judgment; it reveals who is looking at these churches and why. It is His judgment that reveals these things and John must make sure the message is crystal clear and to the point.

No matter whether you believe it is Revelatory or just another book, the truths within it will come to pass. It is mysterious, exciting, dangerous, frightening, and in the end reveals that which is to come. The focus in not on the all the trials, judgements, and events. The focus is the revealing or unveiling of the Christ, the Messiach to come. His arrival and the end of all things, this is Revelation!

Ephesus Rev 2:1-3

(1)  Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

(2)  I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:

(3)  And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

Smyrna Rev 2:8-9

(8)  And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

(9)  I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

Pergamos Rev 2:12-13

(12)  And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;

(13)  I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

Thyatira Rev 2:18-19

(18)  And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

(19)  I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

Christianity is the Faith of First things: first God so loved us; first the Son of God so loved us he came, first the early apostles, first the early church, and the first of beginnings.

Here the Apostle Paul directly speaks to Timothy his son in the Father as the Elder of the Faith. He gets down to First things, practical faith things, and those practices which should be carried out and organized within the early believers. It is also important here to notice that the Apostle in verse one says: “first of all”! Before anything else, he instructed Timothy to teach the believers to make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks for all men. Paul then proceeds with more First things, before indepth doctrinal issues.

We find the Apostle speaking of the last days, the perilous times that would follow these days. It would be a time when people would have a form of godliness, but would deny the power. Timothy was instructed to preach the word and be longsuffering while looking to his Savior and the soon coming.

1Ti 2:1-15

(1) I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

(2) For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

(3) For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

(4) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

(5) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

(6) Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Johns 1st, 2nd, 3rd Epistles and of Jude pt5 “Last Admonitions” on Battle Lines

The paramount purpose was to find the children walking in the truth of the gospel and overcoming. In his writings, John as the Father and chief Apostle of the day, wrote to address the last admonitions for the brethren.

The purpose then as is now is clear and very simple. Walking in the truth as given from our Lord Jesus Christ and the Father and our God to the Apostles. It was a message that flowed out to the early church in power, in the Spirit of God, and by Miracles. Yet in spite of the growth in the early church, deception and deceivers were not far away. They eagerly sought to betray the believers with untruths and deception. It was in this that as the church grew that discipline was needed in order to make sure the believers were in the truth and nothing but the truth. When they found the children in faith, these Fathers of the Faith rejoiced! Nothing was more important than to nurture the believers and to make sure they were fed and led according to the gospel.

3Jn 1:1-4

(1)  The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.

(2)  Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

(3)  For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.

(4)  I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

The proof is in the end of days and the Redeemer who has given to us the gift of an Overcomer by faith in Him. The false prophets, false Christs, and false methods to get to heaven all will be found wanting. But in Christ Jesus We are redeemed and we overcome the world through this.

The arguments will be over some day. The view of the world, radical Islam, Hinduism, and other faiths all we bow the knee to the one True God and our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the war today we find going on around the world. Christian persecution is ramping up and even in America the view of radicalism and religion is seen many times as not just Islam but in fact as Christian Conservatism. The political views, the divide in America will not stop the gospel nor those who follow the Lord of the Gospels. Neither will governments and laws who forbid the Christian in nations around the world from practicing and sharing the great redeeming truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In this we find Johns Epistles pinpointing these truths. For as John says, “Even now there are many AntiChrists”! In His day this was the case, how much more today? Even so, we are overcomers!

1Jn 5:1-5

(1)  Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

(2)  By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

(3)  For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

(4)  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

(5)  Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Peters Second Epistle to the Elect Pt2 “Warning” | www.warn-usa.com | WIBR/WARN Radio

The example of God revealed the Love of God and thus we were redeemed through the death of the Son of God. Yet in all this hope through the cross, we have False prophets and teachers who bring this upon all who listen. Thus is given the warnings!

If there is truth, then falsehood also lay in the shadows. Darkness of men’s hearts allow for the deceiver to trick this into death. Perdition and darkness around the corner if we fall asleep. Thus Peter turns to the warning and examples he gives which are stark. They must be believed and the listener or reader must adhere to the Word of God in truth. While there is redemption, there is death. So there is heaven, there is hell. Further while the Son of God redeemed you so Satan lurks closely to deceive all that will listen to him. Be warned, be alert, and be found in Christ Jesus continuously.

In addition, the epistle from this Aged Apostle says to the elect of believers to “be established in the Present truth”! To the early church the foundation in whom they were to believe in is firmly placed down in this Epistle. These basics are things that today many churches fall away from. There are many churches, many doctrines, and many different ideas and tales of men concerning the truth. But give me the Apostolic doctrines and the redemption through Christ Jesus and the Gospel to which we preach; that is, as Peter says and I repeat it a thrice time “be established in the Present truth”! This is the truth and the whole truth and as it is testified in a court “so help me God”!

2Pe 2:1-9

(1)  But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

(2)  And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

(3)  And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

(4)  For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

There are two main views, the worlds and God the Father. Christ Jesus brought us His view and commandment. Here we find Gods example set through His Son and given to us.

There are many who argue the point here. There is the love of God and what Christ came to do. Yet there are those within the new testament church of modern day America who deny the fulfillment of the Law and Prophets by Christ. Further they ignore the words of Christ when he says he came not to destroy the law but fulfill it. In Christ the Law was fulfilled but not destroyed. Here the age old argument must give way to Love and the example we are to follow. Love yes, iniquity no! Here the two go hand in hand. Love the sinner, hate the sin. Love yes and walk in his Word, His commandments as he said in John 15. Yet as his disciples, Love fulfills the law. If we walk in Love truly, then the law has not a single hold over us. For we fulfill it and walk in it automatically because we love God do what he says. Walking in the light as he is the light, because we love him; thus we have fellowship with him.

1Jn 3:16  Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 

1Jn 3:17  But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 

1Jn 3:18  My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. 

1Jn 3:19  And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. 

1Jn 3:20  For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. 

1Jn 3:21  Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
