Before you arrive in the land of the long white cloud, there are a few essentials that'll make your experience easier—learning a bit of the New Zealand slang, for example—knowing your chooks from your chocks. Getting a sneak-peek into typical New Zealand people; finding out what makes them tick. All that kind of stuff.
