Democratic incumbent Raphael Warnock held off Republican challenger Herschel Walker to become the first Black U.S. Senator from Georgia elected to a full term. It also has some in the Georgia GOP looking at the direction moving forward. Walker was backed by former president Donald Trump and joins scores of other candidates backed by Trump who lost. Meantime, Governor Brian Kemp, who was a target of Trump, handily won his re-election bid in November and has become one of the party's darlings in the process.
