Got something special for you in between proper episodes -- this is a quick ode to maybe the most authentic Chicago delicacy -- the Italian Beef sandwich.
In this special Dot and Kyle interview the three beef franchise owners who helped make up the Inaugural Italian Beef Festival on May 26th at Revolution Brewing in Chicago -- Chris Pacelli from Al's Beef, Carl Bonavolanto of "The Original" Mr. Beef (sorry for the audio issues, Carl) and Joe Buonavolanto of Buona Beef.
(for more background on the event and the sandwich it celebrated -- https://patch.com/illinois/chicago/calendar/event/20180526/342212/chicago-s-first-ever-italian-beef-festival)
The festival was a great success, showcasing hefty selections of the three restaurants' sandwiches with beers made from Revolution's brewery, which surrounded the spacious tap room that allowed everyone to chill once the potent pairings of beef, peppers and brews.
