Episode #311 Spotlighting: Jackie Listen, Entrepreneur, Zig Ziglar coach & mentor, published author, father & husband. Jackie grew up on a small farm in Jones, Oklahoma. He was a full-time entrepreneur for eleven years selling real estate, which allowed him to experience the downfall of the Oklahoma economy in the 1980s. His background in real estate sales led to him being hired by McClain County National Bank. He was eventually promoted to senior vice-president of a branch the bank built for him in Noble, OK. In January of 2020, after a nearly 28-year banking career, he closed that chapter and officially “re-fired” back into the world of entrepreneurship. Jackie is now coaching and mentoring others as a certified Ziglar “Choose to Win” and “See You at the Top” coach, focusing again on real estate; serves on McClain Bank’s Board of Directors; and is a published author. He lives on a ranch in Noble with his wife, Paula. They have two children, one son-in-law, and one grandson. Jackie is enjoying his new role as “Chief Encouragement Officer” and is passionate about helping people step into their purpose. And, just like all our guests, nothing in life comes easy. Episode #307 – Spotlighting: Shihan Allie Alberigo began his training in 1968, and like all of us experienced his share of ups & downs. Every time he started to settle in he was hit with a setback, from schools closing to parting ways within organizations. But his thirst for Martial Arts knowledge never left him. Throughout his years training, he was an avid reader of Black Belt Magazine and Inside Kung Fu. He routinely attended tournaments as both a competitor and an observer, and it was at a tournament that he became entranced by one individual who seemed to perform the martial arts exactly as he imagined they should be. His name was Shihan Felix Vazquez. He began travelling the world and between 1992 and 2005, he traveled to Japan seventeen times, staying anywhere from twelve to thirty days at a time. He also traveled to England, Italy, Milwaukee, New York and Maine always on a quest to learn as much as he could to fulfil his vision of standing on his own two feet to create a legacy, just like the Masters before him. His philosophy is a combination of old virtues with new technology to create lifelong quality individuals that go on to make a positive impact in the world.
