When I was younger there were so many old people willing to share what they knew and many were so wise. In today's society I (feel) there is a lack of wisdom from the older generation. Today we have the older generation trying to keep up with the younger generation. What happened to grabbing them by the hand and showing them the way. I understand it's a two-way street though many of us young people don’t value wisdom when we hear it.

Some days I find myself engaging in topics I know aren't going to go anywhere, just a bunch of chest-pounding ego-measuring conversations. As I grow in my walk with God, I'm finding that my want to be involved in pointless things is changing. I value my time and energy and I refuse to waste it on things that don't serve me (teach me, improve me). It's time to cut those things off that are not serving you.

This topic has been on my mind for a while, especially since I heard people were ready for a civil war. I paused and asked myself were these people pretending to be something they were not? How many of us get on social media saying things that contradict who we are in real life? There’s a lot of group thinking happening on social media just so that people don't feel alone or so that they can gain a more significant following. For some strange reason, we are back in high school. I mean that People are trying to please people just so they can fit in. If you are lost and don't know who you are seek God, if you are looking for purpose seek God. Don’t lie to yourself.

This topic has been trending on Twitter for a few days, and my timeline has been filled with ridiculous comments. Watching humans easily fall for the agenda of division is amazing. The playbook is old and they are running the same plays over and over again because people are leaning on their emotions instead of truth.  I would love to see some unity, how about unity in the homes between the parents, unity in the community against illegal activity, or some unity against a tyrannical government that is preying on the minds of the younger generation?
