Do you remember the recent social media frenzy about whether the dress was blue and black or gold and white? Things don’t always seem as they appear, right? It’s true that our beliefs, our perceptions, and our experiences all can determine our behavior and how we see things. In Mark 8, we read a story about the “two-stage healing” of a blind man, as an illustration of the blindness affecting Jesus’ closest followers. Much like them, we can actually see things in front of us, but still be completely blinded from the truth. So what do we do when we seem to have cloudy sight of basic spiritual elements like baptism, scripture, and grace? Why do we get hung up, confused, and controversial over them? Are we looking at them through our own eyes, or through God’s? Although none of us will see life with perfect vision this side of heaven, join us for this 4-part series, as Scott Barger and Denny Wilson help us to see Jesus’ view more clearly. We hope to see you there!
